What is Baptism?
It is the testimony of our faith in Jesus, the act by which we publicly declare our membership to the church, the body of Christ. This public testimony is made before God, angels, men, and demons. Thus, baptism is a voluntary "crucifixion", a sign of total surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ.

You MUST read the definition of baptism before you can complete the application.

What Are the Requirements?

Apart from Jesus, baptism does not make sense. Baptism received in a non-Christian church is therefore meaningless.

  • Baptism requires conversion. This means you MUST receive Jesus in your life as Lord and Savior. Without conversion, baptism does not make sense. The person who desires baptism must first be converted, or born again. Acts 8: 36-38; 16: 30-34; Mark 16:16.
  • Baptism requires true repentance. This means you MUST sincerely confess your sins and stop sinning. Without true repentance, baptism will have no impact. Acts 2:38.
  • Baptism must be by immersion. This means you MUST be completely dipped in water. This, symbolically, represents the experience of the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.  John 3:23, Matthew 3: 13-16. Baptism by sprinkling is not a biblical practice. If you were baptized by sprinkling as a child, you need to receive the biblical baptism by immersion.

The FIRST requirement to receive baptism is to receive Jesus in your life as Lord and Savior. If would like to welcome Jesus in your life, please speak to a pastor or minister at church. They will be happy to teach you what you need to do. DO NOT COMPLETE the application until you have spoken with a pastor or minister.

If you are unsure whether you have received Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, please speak to a pastor or minister at church. They will be happy to help you through the process. DO NOT COMPLETE the application until you have spoken with a pastor or minister.
